Little things please me inordinately much, expecially when I'm lazy and not working - like cooking rice and chicken. Now eating yoghurt made of wild savage blackberries. It's raining and I love this place stupidly much. Everything just seems to be working. Though I am counting. 16 days.

I'm also counting the days. 13 for me.
You coming to the party on the 22nd?

Sadly not. I don't get back to London till 3pm on the 23rd, and then get to wait in Waterloo for 3 or 4 hours till I can get my (cheap) train back to Somerset. I'd go see people but the thought of lugging stuff on the Underground yet again is really not appealing!

You're bringing stuff back to the UK? Heavens, I plan to only travel with a "Dick Whittington" style handkerchief and several polythene bags of belgian chocolate, which I shall distribute amongst friends and family. This luggage malarky's all very silly.

Well... all my winter clothes except my wax jacket are here with me, and I need to take present back too - and my laptop. Only one small bag and my hiking rucksack, but still too much for me to want to have to swear at the tube over. I'm sure there must be something resembling tea somewhere in Waterloo...
